Autonomous Systems

AI is the enabling technology behind the autonomous systems capable of learning and adapting themselves to the changing situations in a complex environment without or with the least amount of human intervention. Our team of outstanding researchers work at the forefront of this challenging, cross-disciplinary research at Nottingham.

Our AI projects in autonomous systems range from virtual assistants capable of forming sophisticated dialogues and showing emotional behaviour at the interface of human-computer interaction to intelligent manufacturing, policy design and autonomous robotic technologies.
