JBI Collaboration

JBI Centre of Excellence - The Nottingham Centre for Evidence-Based HealthcareThe Nottingham Centre for Evidence-Based Healthcare is an officially designated Centre of Excellence within the JBI network, consisting of over 80 entities across the world.

We are a founding member of the JBI European Group which shares ideas in evidence based research, creates networking opportunities and supports early career researchers. Through this collaboration, we have secured full JBI membership for all staff at the Nottingham University Hospital Trust, giving them free access to the JBI library and evidence based practice tools.

JBI’s approach to evidence-based healthcare is unique. JBI considers evidence-based healthcare as decision making thatconsiders the feasibility, appropriateness, meaningfulness andeffectiveness of healthcare practices..

The best available evidence, the context in which care is delivered, the individual patient and the professional judgement and expertise of the health professional inform this process. JBI regards evidence-based healthcare as a cyclical process.
