About Hand Surgery Evidence Updates

Hand Surgery Evidence Updates are free monthly e-mails that highlight the latest systematic reviews and evidence-based guidelines relevant to hand surgery practice. The Updates are compiled by Douglas Grindlay and Alexia Karantana in the Centre for Evidence Based Hand Surgery.

Hand Surgery Evidence Updates are produced as a service to the hand surgery community, with support from the University of Nottingham, Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust and the British Society for Surgery of the Hand (BSSH).

Content

Each update lists new systematic reviews and guidelines as they are published each month, with a brief summary of the main findings.

The new publications are identified using a comprehensive search strategy we have developed for PubMed, along with monthly searches of the NICE Evidence search engine.
