NIHR Signal: Apixaban is less likely to cause major bleeding than Warfarin

 

The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Dissemination Centre recently published an NIHR Signal based Dr Yana Vinogradova's research paper in the British Medical Journal: Vinogradova Y, Coupland C, Hill T, Hippisley-Cox J. Risks and benefits of direct oral anticoagulants versus warfarin in a real world setting: cohort study in primary care. British Medical Journal 2018;362:k2505 doi: 10.1136/bmj.k2505 [published Online First: 4 July 2018]. 

The Signal, published on 16 October 2018, is called "The blood-thinner apixaban is less likely to cause major bleeding than warfarin".

All four authors are based in the Division of Primary Care and are members of the Primary Care Epidemiology Research Group.
