Postgraduate research (M/Phil and PhD) education courses induction timetable

Your induction is a programme of activities and events to introduce you to your school and postgraduate research.

Important information

  • You are expected to attend all sessions in person, unless specified below
  • You must pre-register for the welcome lunch if you plan to attend - Tuesday 30 September 12-1pm
  • If you have any physical or online accessibility requirements that you would like us to be aware of, please email TT-ResearchPGR@exmail.nottingham.ac.uk.
  • Please bring a refillable bottle and use the water stations located around the campus, which is more sustainable than purchasing bottled water
  • Over the course of the week, you are particularly encouraged to meet with your supervisors and get to know the campus – especially the libraries!

Software

The two main software programmes you will need to use in your PGR studies are Microsoft Teams and Moodle. 

Although you do not need either of these to access or attend the School of Education induction, links are provided below to get your started.

  • You can download the Teams app, using your University of Nottingham email and password, you will need to allow Teams to use your computer camera and microphone if prompted.
  • You can access Moodle, using your university email address.
