Imogen Richens graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2009. After eighteen months in mixed practice in Cornwall her second job was as a small animal veterinary surgeon at a practice in Nottingham. In 2012 Imogen undertook her PhD researching the social science of dairy cattle vaccination at the School of Veterinary Medicine and Science at the University of Nottingham, graduating in 2015.
Imogen has since been a Teaching Fellow in Veterinary Anatomy at the University of Bristol (2015-18) and a Lecturer in Veterinary Nursing Science at Nottingham Trent University (2018-19).
In 2012 I undertook a PhD titled 'Implementation of vaccination strategies on British dairy farms: Understanding challenges and perceptions'. My thesis was submitted in May 2015 and the research was funded by AHDB Dairy, the University of Nottingham and the Centre for Evidence-based Veterinary Medicine. I passed my viva in June 2015 and my corrections were accepted in October 2015.
