A series of still images of dancers performing a solo, duet, trio, and quartet are edited together to create the suggestion of movement. John Budde provided the concept and the photography and Elizabeth Keene provided the choreography. An ambient score by composer Julie Weber accompanies the piece. Alto School in Alto, Indiana
The small village of Alto in Howard County, founded in 1848, was home to this impressive brick school. Students and teachers are gathered for a formal photo with the school "hack" nearby. In March 1913 the Wabash River overflowed its banks. Settlements on the west side of the Wabash, and the northwest side of Terre Haute were flooded. Terre Haute also experienced a tornado on 23 March with seventeen people killed, and property damage.,Vigo County Journey
Franklin Building, 1929
In 1929 the Franklin Building was razed to make way for the Circle Tower Building designed by Rubush and Hunter architectural firm. The statue of Franklin was preserved and now is at Franklin College in Johnson County.,Appears in Destination Indiana 5

This fifteen minute video is about Jame Watt and his life in the 1770s. It slowly shows how a steam engine works with good graphics. It also explains the expansion of the steam engine outside of water pumps and how a random act gave Watt an idea on how to make a more efficient steam engine. Good insights into how Watt felt.
