14.128 Dynamic Optimization & Economic Applications (Recursive Methods) (MIT)
The unifying theme of this course is best captured by the title of our main reference book: "Recursive Methods in Economic Dynamics". We start by covering deterministic and stochastic dynamic optimization using dynamic programming analysis. We then study the properties of the resulting dynamic systems. Finally, we will go over a recursive method for repeated games that has proven useful in contract theory and macroeconomics. We shall stress applications and examples of all these techniques throu

Simulation of Sound Diffusion Patterns of Fractal-Based Surface Profiles
Acoustical design is one of the most challenging aspects of architecture. A complex system of competing influences (e.g., space geometry, size, proportion, material properties, surface detail,
etc.) contribute to shaping the quality of the auditory experience. In particular, architectural surfaces affect the way that sound reflections propagate through space. By diffusing the reflected
sound energy, surface designs can promote a more homogeneous auditory atmosphere by mitigating sharp and focuse
2.6 Genre In The Realist Novel Dennis Walder provides you with an extract from a detective novel to identify, and suggests that you'll find this relatively easy because it contains certain features that we expect in such a work. In other words, we each have a mental set of expectations that we use to categorise writing. Context Clues - How to Help Your Child 1.4 Vitamin E Vitamin E is not a single compound, but consists of a group of eight closely related chemicals, of which the most important, responsible for about 90% of its activity in the body is alpha-tocopherol. Since, like vitamins A and D, vitamin E is fat-soluble, it occurs in fat-rich foods. The main sources in the UK diet are from plant oils such as soya, corn and olive oil. Other good sources include nuts and seeds, and wheatgerm (the part of the wheat grain that will develop into the new plant) an The Week in Review: February 13, 2016 Janet Yellen testified before Congress this week and was forced to admit the obvious: the economy is in trouble and could get worse. While Ms. Yellen indicated the potential to a return to ZIRP, she seemed reluctant to follow the advice of her predecessor and other former Fed officials in embracing negative interest rates as her colleagues in Europe and Japan have done. As anger builds at the arrogance of central bankers, it’s becoming ever clearer that there is no plan for monetar 1.6.2 Education Education is obviously one of the crucial dimensions in any attempt to develop a future European identity or at least more understanding and convergence among Europeans. If the school made the nation, it should also be a key factor in promoting Europeanness. Observers of the school scene in Europe acknowledge the existence of a growing sentiment of interest for European themes (institutions, politics, peoples, languages). Furthermore, the EU-based exchange programmes have recognised the impor
