Daily Creative Assignments
Inspired by the Learning to Love You More Project, the goal for these assignments is to incorporate creativity into your daily routine.
For a designated period of time (one week, one month, two months) have students choose a different assignment to do each day and post online, in a wiki or blog (Please include the link to your class wiki or blog at the bottom of the page). They may use a camera or sketch pad to document their work and must give the work a title and description. Students are also
International Economics: Theory and Policy
International Economics: Theory and Policy is built on Steve Suranovic’s belief that students need to learn the theory and models to understand how economics works and how economists understand the world. And, that these ideas are accessible to most students if they are explained thoroughly.
So, if you are looking for an International Economics text that will prepare your PhD students while promoting serious comprehension for the non-economics major, Steve Suranovic’s International Economic

Guitar Building
In this class, students learn about physics principles by examining the physics responsible for producing music with electronic stringed instruments, while building, testing, and playing their own electric guitar. Students will design their own Guitar bodies, construct their own pick-ups, assemble their own guitars, tune them using a chromatic tuner, and use them to play a simple song. While the instructions here give enough detail that an independent learner could construct their own guitar, pl
World's oldest Pteranodon (flying reptile) a native Texan?
Fossilized bones discovered in Texas are from the left wing of an ancient flying reptile that died 89 million years ago. Evidence suggests the specimen may be the earliest occurrence of the prehistoric creature Pteranodon, says paleontologist Timothy S. Myers, Southern Methodist University, who identified the fossils. If the reptile is Pteranodon, it would be the world's oldest and the first of its kind discovered as far south as Texas. See www.smuresearch for the full story.

Probabilistic approach for sensor fault detection and identification (A)
Operation performance of chemical, petrochemical and biochemical processes can be enhanced considerably by an integrated advisory system that is capable of performing simultaneous tasks of (1) instrument fault detection and identification and (2) process fault detection and diagnosis. Lack of such advisory system, at present, is due to the fact that one of the assumptions of normal process operation and functional sensors is always required in existing methods that perform tasks 1 and 2. This di
7.4 Summary of Section 7 Fibres of the cochlear nerve synapse on the cells of the cochlear nuclear complex which is the first station of the central auditory pathway. From here signals are sent to the superior olivary complex, the inferior colliculus, lateral lemniscus, medial geniculate nucleus and finally the auditory cortex. The central role of the auditory cortex is the processing of complex sounds. Each cochlear nuclear complex receives input from only one ear. In the cochlear nuclear complex are several d
