Pharmacy Degree Course
MPharm Pharmacy
The School of Biomedical Sciences, in partnership with the School of Pharmacy , delivers an innovative Master of Pharmacy degree which gives students the chance to study part of the course at our campus in Malaysia .
Around 220 students in both the UK and Malaysia take the course each year, with graduates entering preregistration posts before qualifying as registered pharmacists in hospital, community and industry.
The School’s pharmacology teaching group delivers the basic physiology (how the body works) and pharmacology (how drugs work) in the first two years. Many classes in the first couple of years are taught jointly with medical students, reinforcing interprofessional partnerships.
In the final two years, the group delivers advanced specialist teaching in molecular pharmacology, nutrition, patient-centred clinical pharmacology and therapeutics (using case-study based learning), toxicology and immunopharmacology. The group also supports you during your research project.
