Inaugural lecture - Simon Johnson, Professor of Respiratory Medicine: A talk out-lining the increasing understanding of the role of proteases in tissue remodelling and its relevance to lung diseases. There is a particular focus on Simon's work on the pathogenesis and clinical care of lymphangioleiomyomatosis, a rare destructive lung disease of women.
