Living in the community

Making the most of your time in the local community

Students socialising in a cafe

Although we have a large student population in Nottingham, university students make up only about 12.5% of Nottingham's total population, and in outlying areas it's even less. Living off campus in a mixed community brings about certain roles and responsibilities that are very different to living in halls of residence. We’ve developed the following information, advice and guidance to help support you during your time living in the local community. Please also take a look at our campaigns page to see our projects that support living off campus. Nottingham is a brilliant place to live, work and study and we want you to make the most of your time whilst you’re in this great city.

If you have any suggestions, questions, comments or concerns about living in the community as a University of Nottingham student then please contact the Off Campus Student Affairs team.
