Biography

I was awarded a medical degree from the University of Liverpool in 2000 and trained as a Specialist Registrar in Haematology in the East Midlands Deanery. I obtained a PhD from the Gene regulation laboratory in the Peter McCallum Cancer Centre, Melbourne, Australia 2011. I was appointed as a Consultant Haematologist at the Nottinghamshire University Hospitals NHS Trust in 2015, and then I was appointed to my current role in 2022 as Associate Professor at the University of Nottingham and Honorary Consultant Haematologist at the Nottinghamshire University Hospitals NHS Trust.

Expertise Summary

I specialise in the clinical management of all subtypes of lymphoma and histiocytoses, have extensive experiance of all phases of clinical trials, and am a member of the NCRI low grade lymphoma and health informatics data sub-groups. I am the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCRAS) lead for Haemato-oncology.

Current Research

I have been local principal investigator on multiple industry sponsored and investigator led clinical trials. I am is currently UK co-chief investigator for REFRACT, an NCRI investigator led clinical trial, and serve on the trial management group for four UK NCRI trials. I am the National Cancer Registration and Analysis Service (NCRAS) lead for Haemato-oncology, and lead real world observational studies in lymphoma and histiocytosis.
