Outreach Officer, Faculty of Registrars
The Widening Participation Team leads the University's work to engage learners from less advantaged backgrounds in education and support their progression to higher education, including the University of Nottingham. The Team delivers over 80,000 places on more than 3,400 outreach activities each year. We support measures across the student lifecycle relating to admissions, success, financial support and progression.
The outreach team works with students in secondary schools, sixth forms and further education colleges. We offer 'menu' sessions which deliver information, advice and guidance to pupils aged year 7 to 13 and to mature students. We also host visits to our campuses and assist schools and departments around the University in their outreach work.
I work as an Outreach Officer in the Schools and Colleges outreach team who work with pupils in years 7-13. I also support the Access and Vocational team working with students at further education colleges. I am responsible for supporting several projects within the Widening Participation team, including:
I also assist schools and departments across the University in promoting their events and activities to young people.
