Accommodation
Accommodation will be on the University Park campus, either in the Orchard Hotel or in pleasant, en suite student halls. Booking will be included in the registration packages listed below. Please note that the early bird discount is now closed. Additional Saturday afternoon and evening social programmes as well as Saturday night accommodation can be booked with all packages as extras (see the “Social programme” menu). To book a package and the extra options, please click on the online registration link on the conference home page.
If you would like to stay for additional nights in the Orchard Hotel before or after the conference (apart from Saturday night which is available as an extra during booking), you can book rooms directly through the hotel's website.
The Orchard Hotel
The Orchard Hotel opened its doors in November 2012 boasting top class accommodation on University Park with extensive facilities including a roof garden, brasserie and gym.
Registration closed on 10 August.
Package A
- Conference with hotel – £345.00
- Includes: registration fee, 2 nights in single hotel accommodation with full board (including conference dinner)
- This package can be combined with (Guest) Package G (i.e. sharing the room with a guest), available during booking.
Package B
- Conference with hotel (shared) – £300.00
- Includes registration fee, 2 nights in shared hotel accommodation (for sharing with another conference delegate on package B) with full board (including conference dinner).
Package C
- Conference with university accommodation – 300.00
- Includes registration fee, 2 nights en suite single student hall accommodation with full board (including conference dinner).
Package D
- Conference and meals only – £200.00
- Includes registration fee, all the meals (including conference dinner), no accommodation.
Package E
- Student rate with accommodation – £240.00 (graduate student discount)
- Includes registration fee, 2 nights en suite single student hall accommodation with full board (including conference dinner).
Package F
- Student rate conference and meals only – £150.00 (graduate student discount)
- Includes registration fee, all the meals (including conference dinner), no accommodation.
Package G
- Guest rate – £65.00 (for accompanying persons who do not attend the academic parts of the conference)
- Includes shared hotel accommodation with someone buying Package A for two nights; breakfasts; Thursday and Friday night meals (including the conference dinner).
- Does not include conference entry.
- An optional Friday trip to visit local historic sites can be booked as an extra.
Additional Saturday night
- Single hotel accommodation with breakfast – £90
- Shared hotel accommodation with breakfast – £50
- En suite single student hall accommodation with breakfast: – £50
Cancellation policy
If the booking is cancelled before February 15th, 2014, a cancellation fee of £100 (£25 for PhD students) will be charged. After February 15th, the cancellation fee is £200 (£75 for PhD students).
