Keynote event: Caring for carers

A 60 minute workshop, chaired by June McCombie, chair of UoN carers' staff network, providing practical advice on the support and benefits available for carers in our community. This workshop is primarily focused for staff and students. Alumni are also very welcome to attend.
Join Obianuju Amamgbo (alumna) and Ayaan Hersi, work coaches at the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) to learn more about:
- support available for carers from the DWP
- advice on claiming carers' allowance, attendance allowance, etc
- tips for completing DWP paperwork and how best to contact the DWP
- signposting to other useful information and services
This 60 minute workshop will include a short open Q&A session (not recorded).
