Innovation on the Horizon

Science & Technology: Innovation on the Horizon will be a vital opportunity for the UK science community to come together to share learning and hear from the policy-makers shaping the funding regimes that finance their work.

Key benefits of attending:

  • An opportunity to hear from the policy-makers who are directing Horizon 2020 and the domestic research funding programmes.  What are their priorities for future innovation? What have the funding calls achieving to date and what makes a successful collaborative research bid?
  • Delegates will be able to network with peers within the science community and share the knowledge they have gained from participation in previous research programmes. They will hear from some exemplary research projects in the main Horizon 2020 programme areas and can discuss potential future research ventures.
  • Delegates can take part in discussions around the commercialisation of research findings with the private sector. What innovations are industry look for, and how can knowledge transfer between sectors be optimised?
