Student midwife wins competition to attend ICM Congress in Toronto

Cara Evans, a first year BSc Midwifery student, has won the Royal College of Midwives (RCM) competition to attend the ICM Congress in Toronto in June 2017!

According to the RCM website, “The ICM is one of the largest midwifery international events attracting midwives and student midwives from all over the world. It is ideal for networking, information sharing and progressing professional and personal development with delegates participating in the high quality scientific programme.”

In response to her win, Cara said: “I am absolutely over the moon to have won and am still in shock. It really is an incredible privilege and something which I hope will also promote the university.”

Cara will also be writing about her experiences at congress on the University’s midwifery blog ‘Delivering Midwives’.

Our congratulations to Cara, and we look forward to reading about the trip later on in the year!
