High Performance Computing

Research

Researchers at the University of Nottingham drive world leading interdisciplinary research programmes in a wide range of subjects. In particular we specialise in computational fluid dynamics, pharmaceutical drug development, computer aided adaptive design, engineering modelling and computational chemistry.

The Nottingham facility is utilised by researchers from more than 10 different University Schools, including all departments within the Engineering faculty. We particularly encourage users from disciplines outside the science and engineering faculties and provide support to help initial startup. The breadth of use is well illustrated by the attendees at the Nottingham HPC conferences which have featured talks from a wide variety of research groups.
