Life Cycle 6 raises over £540,000 for breast cancer research

From bakers to walkers and cyclists and disco dancers – thanks to you we have raised over £540,000 for our breast cancer research, as part of our annual fundraiser – Nottingham Life Cycle 6.

This summer our Vice-Chancellor completed his final Life Cycle endurance ride, cycling 1,400 miles to the four corners of the UK. Joined by 12 other dedicated riders, the team rode from Lizard Point to Lowestoft Ness, then to Ardnamurchan Point finishing at Dunnet Head in Scotland. The 16 day ride proved a tough one – with steep climbs, torrential rain, gale force winds and a few broken bikes thrown in for good measure.

The riders returned to Nottingham to a hero’s welcome on 4 September at the Life Cycle 6 community day, where they joined 600 other riders crossing the finishing line at Lakeside.
