RE: Comment regarding transfer for dialysis             13/01/2004

Preliminary response             13/01/2004

Criteria for dialysis and transfer for tertiary care of certain groups of patients will need to be addressed by the guideline. The evidence search is not completed and therefore specific recommendations regarding dialysis have not yet been made. Please watch this space for further up-dates.

RE: Comment regarding TB meningitis            23/06/2004

Preliminary response             15/07/2004

The signs and symptoms for meningitis of any cause will be looked at closely. Tuberculous meningitis will be addressed from the point of view of reaching the diagnosis, but evidence-based advise on treatments is probably beyond the scope of the guideline. I will discuss this with the guideline development group for clarification of the scope of the guideline.
