Eighth meeting of the Consortium for Globalisation of Chinese Medicine
On the 26-28 August 2009, The University of Nottingham held the eighth meeting of the Consortium for Globalisation of Chinese Medicine (CGM) ─ the first time the meeting has been held outside of Asia. The University was chosen to host the event in recognition of its commitment to Chinese medicine.
Executives from the Tasly Group ─ one of China’s largest pharmaceutical companies ─ were amongst those attending the conference. The University and the Tasley Group have signed a wide-ranging strategic partnership in a deal which promises to:

In China, over 15 years of development, Tasly Group has applied pharmaceutical industry techniques to traditional medicine. It has become a high-tech firm whose scope includes:

MTC, based at Ansty Park in Coventry, will provide resources and a high quality environment for the development and demonstration of new technologies on an industrial scale.
