PhD student wins First Prize at BACR Special Meeting

 

PhD student wins First Prize at BACR Special Meeting 2013, Bristol

The Cancer Biology Unit within the Division of Oncology would like to congratulate PhD Student, Niovi Nicolaou, on winning first prize in the poster competition at the British Association for Cancer Research (BACR) 2013 Special Meeting. Over the two-day event the poster entitled Improved orthotopic and metastatic breast cancer models, enabling translation into patient-relevant drug testing, was chosen by the judges to win the top prize.

Also at the event Dr Anna Grabowska gave a presentation detailing some of the more clinically-relevant tumour models inlcuding a stromal cell component that her research group, within Cancer Biology, has been developing.
