Centre for Evidence Based Hand Surgery

Clinical Research Fellow in Hand Surgery

Applications are invited for a one year full-time academic research post as Clinical Research Fellow in Hand Surgery in the Centre of Evidence Based Hand Surgery. This post will be focused on conducting background work to determine whether a large multi-centre randomised-controlled trial evaluating the clinical and cost-effectiveness of treatment for a common hand fracture is feasible and acceptable to patients.

Candidates may be aiming for a career in hand surgery either via a trauma and orthopaedic or a plastic and reconstructive surgery background. This one year post provides an excellent opportunity to undertake background work to prepare a doctoral research fellowship application, for example to NIHR or the Research Councils.

For further details please see the job advertisement (closing date Thursday 19 October 2017).
