Current gut transit tests such as the X-ray radiopaque markers (ROMs) have limitations. We were awarded a NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) grant to develop a new, mini-capsule MRI alternative to the ROMs for use in paediatric intractable constipation. We have filed the patent, developed the device and we are now approaching the first clinical study in paediatric constipation.

Sandwiches and refreshments provided.
