Medicine for Older People academic exchange

 
The Division of Medical Sciences and Graduate Entry Medicine recently hosted its first academic exchange for trainees in Medicine for Older People with Leiden University Medical Centre, with support from Health Education East Midlands. This provided the basis of a collaborative research project around rehabilitation outcome measures at Lings Bar Hospital in Nottingham and also enabled two UK trainees, Dr Barry Evans and Dr Rachel Cowan, to visit Leiden University Medical Centre where they learned about innovative models of healthcare delivery for older people within Dutch Acute Care Hospitals and Nursing Homes.
