Care Home Improvement Event a Success!

Assoc Prof Adam Gordon from the Division of Medical Sciences and Graduate Entry Medicine led a quality improvement event with collaborators from the East Midlands Academic Health Sciences Network Patient Safety Collaborative attended by over 150 care home and healthcare professionals on Tuesday 5th February.  The event represented the culmination of four years of benchmarking and improvement work which Dr Gordon has played a leading role in.  Visitors from Maastricht, Graz and Bern were in attendance and will take ideas from the workshop back to trial with their own care home communities.  Some of the stories of homes who have successfully transformed care for their residents were featured on East Midlands Today the same day.
