Current Research

My current research investigates the effects of hearing impairment on people's ability to communicate, especially in noisy situations. My work is focused on understanding how people may change their communication behaviour to compensate for changes in the acoustic environment, how such behavioural strategies may impact people's capacity to communicate in adverse conditions, and how the effects of such behavioural strategies affect our ability to measure communication performance in controlled experimental conditions.
