Biography

After gaining my undergraduate degree in Philosophy and Sociology from Keele University, I completed a PGCE at the University of Nottingham. For the 14 years that followed, I taught in Further Education - mainly A Level Philosophy and A Level Sociology, but I also taught on Health & Social Care and Nursing courses.

In 2016 I began my MA in Philosophy at the University of Nottingham, followed by a PhD (also in Philosophy), which I completed with no corrections in June 2023. My area of expertise is technological ethics - specifically, issues relating to robots, consent, care, and deception.

In October 2023, I began work as a Research Fellow within the Human Factors Research Group in the Faculty of Engineering, where I am conducting research into people-led digitalisation.
