Description

Drew Shearsmith, from IT Service Delivery, is visiting the Division of Primary Care on 23 July to facilitate a workshop about Research Data Management (RDM).

This workshop will provide an overview of the tools and facilities available for RDM and the sort of things we should consider in the future, including:

• What is research data?
• Policy and funding requirements
• How to manage sensitive data
• Strategies for storing, naming and the backup of data
• Ownership, copyright and Intellectual Property
• Ways of sharing data and licencing
• Preservation and reuse of data
• Planning ahead for data management

There will also be an opportunity to raise any issues or concerns you may have about Research Data Management.

This workshop is part of the joint research seminar/skills programme organised by the Divisions of Primary Care and Epidemiology and Public Health.
