Pathways to Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science
Pathways to Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science is a free programme delivered by the University of Nottingham aimed at Year 12 and 13 students interested in a veterinary career. This brand new initiative will provide ongoing support to its members in Year 12 and 13 through a series of veterinary medicine and animal science-related masterclasses, information, advice and guidance sessions.

Is it for you?
To apply, you must:
- attend and have always attended, a state-funded, non fee-paying school/college
- be in Year 12 at the start of the programme
- be studying three or more A levels (or equivalent), including a Science
In addition, we are looking for students who meet some of the following criteria:
- have achieved at least five GCSE's at grades 9 - 6 (A*-B), including English and Maths. A minimum of two of these qualifications should be at grades 9 - 7
- would be the first generation in their family to attend university
- have been in receipt of Free School Meals whilst at secondary school
- have attended schools with a lower than average progression to higher education, or a higher than average proportion of students who qualify for Free School Meals
- Live in a neighbourhood with a low rate of progression to higher education or a high level of socio-economic deprivation
- have been looked after or in care

Applications for our 2023-25 cohort are now closed. Applications will reopen in September 2024.
