Discovery Days: Outward Bound
Get ready for a university adventure!
Pupils will have a go at our mountain climbing challenge on the bouldering wall. They will practise orienteering skills indoors before venturing outdoors for an orienteering expedition around campus.
Introducing the concept of university and helping children to think about their futures, our outreach officers will run sessions in school, both before and after the Discovery Day.
In partnership with the Department of Sport.
Is it for you?
- Year group suitability: Year 5 and Year 6
- Taking place Tuesday 30 April 2024
- Maximum capacity: 2 classes; 60 pupils
- Recommended ratio: at least 2 adults for up to 20 pupils. One extra adult for each additional 10 children
- School staff must be present to supervise children throughout the day
