Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
Welcome to Veterinary CPD at the University of Nottingham
The School of Veterinary Medicine and Science at The University of Nottingham have had seven exciting years delivering a novel and cutting-edge undergraduate education. We are now in a position to share these techniques with our colleagues, locally, nationally and internationally through a programme of continuing professional development to build upon our strengths in clinical sciences, evidence-based medicine and education.
Building on the foundation CPD courses that we have offered over the last few years and our learning and teaching experiences, we have developed a range of topics for small, equine, and exotic animals. These courses will develop your theoretical knowledge and practical skills. Most will be delivered in our purpose-built clinical teaching building consisting of a cadaver surgery suite, dissection and pathology facilities, clinical skills centre and advanced e-learning facilities. Some courses will be delivered concurrently onsite and via distance learning (with webinars and case discussions).
We also have an exciting new Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Rehabilitation. This is delivered in collaboration with established centres of excellence both externally and within The University of Nottingham.
In addition we offer opportunities for advanced clinical study leading to PGCertificate in Veterinary Science, Masters of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and Surgery – many of these are available in conjunction with internship or residency opportunities.
If you have any questions regarding the courses on offer or wish to make suggestions for further programmes, please do not hesitate to contact our team or myself.
I hope that you find a course that meets your CPD needs this year.
