Description

Join programme directors Dr Rowland Travis and Dr Elizabeth Bishop and the university's Employer Engagement Team at our Jubilee Campus for an overview of our Electro-mechanical Engineer Degree Apprenticeship.

Attendees will have the opportunity to experience our campus, tour our teaching and research facilities and discuss the apprenticeship with our programme team prior to the September 2024 start.

There will also be an informal networking lunch attended by our team, who will be on hand for one-to-one questions.

 Areas covered include:

  • Programme content and structure

  • How to factor off-the-job learning into the working week

  • Work-based projects

  • On-programme support

  • The apprenticeship community

  • Q&A session with the Programme Director and Employer Engagement Team

  • Facilities tour

Optional tour of University Park

After the lunch session, we will be running an optional tour of some of the engineering facilities based on our University Park campus, including our world leading virtual reality teaching facility.  If you would like to stay for this session, please indicate your preferences for travel when registering for the event.

Who is this event for?

This event is for new and existing partner employers who will have staff joining our Electro-mechanical Engineer Degree Apprenticeships in September 2024, or those still considering the programme.

Apprentices and their managers, mentors or other staff supporting them on their apprenticeship are welcome to register.  Please ensure that each attendee registers separately.

Please note that this event is not suitable for apprentices who do not have a supporting employer that is engaged with the university’s degree apprenticeship team.
