Join our exclusive webinar hosted by the University of Nottingham Online (UoNO) on Wednesday, 1st May 2024 at 11am led by Professor Sarah Davidson, a renowned authority in Information Management from the University of Nottingham.

About our speaker

Sarah Davidson 

Sarah Davidson  

Sarah Davidson is a Professor of Information Management in the Department of Architecture and Built Environment. She teaches into all levels of the Architecture Programmes as well as the department's programmes for Environmental Engineering at the University of Nottingham. Sarah is a Fellow member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). She has spent a significant period in the construction industry working for both consultant organisations and contracting bodies. 

Sarah also works with industry bodies and clients to embed building information management and modelling and the principles of the UK BIM Framework into business as usual. She has been a frequent speaker at industry conferences and is a member of the nima Facilitation Team who are engaged in the development and adoption of the standards and guidance within the UK BIM Framework. Sarah's particular areas of interest are around data security, data classification for beneficial flow and application and collaborative/co-operative team working. 

Prior to joining the University of Nottingham Sarah spent 11 fantastic years with the international construction consultant Gleeds. She became a senior director and Head of Research and Development - an initiative which ultimately provided the platform for their digital transformation. 

Sarah is a part of the Architecture, Culture and Tectonics (ACT) Research Group and her key areas of expertise include:

  • Construction industry performance analysis
  • Construction cost modelling, analysis and benchmarking
  • Collaborative working
  • Construction procurement and contracts
