Biography

Professor Ts. Dr. Poi Sim Khiew is a renowned academic and researcher in materials engineering and nanotechnology, with a focus on nanostructured materials and functional composites for cutting-edge sustainable technologies. With over two decades of academic excellence, he has authored more than 100 influential publications in prestigious journals, contributing significantly to energy storage, photocatalysis and biosensing applications. In addition to his research, Prof. Khiew actively engages in international collaborations, serving as a reviewer and advisor for leading academic and research institutions. He has mentored over 20 PhD students, guiding them toward successful careers in both academia and industry. He has secured substantial research funding and will continue to drive innovation in sustainability, materials design and technological advancement, contributing towards both national and global scientific agendas.
