Expertise Summary

I am a qualitative and mixed-methods Research Fellow.

I primarily lead on the qualitative aspect of studies across a range of clinical and public health topics. Currently, I am based in Nottingham Clinical Trials Unit on the PEARS (Process Evaluation Alongside NIHR-funded Randomised controlled trials) project.

Recent studies include:

- Developing a core outcome set for flexor tendon injuries (HAFTI-COS).

- Developing a risk-stratified, cost-effective, and acceptable blood-test monitoring strategy for inflammatory conditions treated with commonly used immune suppressing drugs.

- Development and feasibility cohort RCT of a nurse-led package of care for knee pain.

- Determining a set of validated outcome measures for Crystal Pyrophosphate Disease (CPPD), with the Outcome Measures in Rheumatology (OMERACT) CPPD working group.

- Exploring the barriers and facilitators to COVID-19, seasonal flu and pneumonia vaccine uptake among immunosuppressed adults with common inflammatory conditions.
