Biography

I've worked in the security and intelligence industry since finishing my undergraduate and postgraduate studies in 2021 with experience working in the armed forces. During my academic and professional careers, I've maintained a passion for understanding and researching irregular or unconventional approaches to warfare situations ever since listening to T.E Lawrence's Seven Pillars of Wisdom while working as a cleaner at 17. Since then, I've written on, and researched, a range of related topics using knowledge gained from my work life, the armed forces, and during study. I enjoy using lateral thinking and experimental approaches to hypothetical security dilemma in order to generate new ideas and solutions.

Research Summary

Current Thesis Title: "How effectively can the UK's armed forces employ irregular and unconventional warfare tactics in future conflicts?"

The intent of my research is to analyse and explore how the UK's armed forces conduct irregular and unconventional warfare methods, and how these would be applied in future peer or near-peer conflict scenarios. The main effort of this research will be carried out through interviews, observations and analytical wargaming to create examinable data for hypothetical scenarios.
