Description

The Haydn Green Institute organises and hosts a series of Special Seminars. There are open public lectures and discussions presented by professionals from business, education and the public sector. The focus of each talk is topical but with an emphasis upon areas such as sustainability, enterprise, innovation and regional development. 

Entrepreneurship and the Eco System in the UK

Our first speaker this year is Professor Tim Dafforn, Chief Entrepreneurial Adviser at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS). 

Professor Tim Dafforn 

Professor Tim Dafforn (@T_dafforn) took up his post as Chief Scientific Adviser at the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills in June 2015. Prior to this appointment he was entrepreneur in residence at BIS with a remit to champion activities in synthetic biology in the department.

His career highlights include:

His career includes more than 100 publications and a lifetime research grant capture of £10 million.
