Nottingham is one of the best universities for aspiring Investment Bankers, Marketers, Accountant or Media professionals

According to new league tables recently published by global professional social networking giant LinkedIn, The University of Nottingham is one the UK’s top ten higher education institutions producing the most investment bankers, marketers, accounting and media professionals who go on to work in top companies.

LinkedIn arrived at the rankings by analysing the employment profiles of around 300 million members across the world who graduated in the last eight years. These were cross referenced with the members' former university to create a ranking based on the career outcomes of their alumni.

Despite graduate unemployment being at its lowest level since 2008 (according to the Higher Education Careers Service Unit), entering a desirable career remains a key influence on students’ university choice. With this growing emphasis on employability, the new rankings are excellent news for prospective students and the record numbers entering higher education in the UK seeking a specific career.

Acknowledging that the rankings only contain the outcomes of members in certain fields, LinkedIn highlighted their importance in helping students and parents know which universities give them the best chance at getting a sought-after post-graduation.
