Nottingham University Business School undergraduate Tariro Madzingira, a third year student on the BSc Accountancy course, made the top ten for the The Future Business Leader of the Year Award 2019 in partnership with Procter and Gamble.

Procter and Gamble said that they were "extremely impressed" by Tariro, who attended the grand final in London on 26 April to celebrate her achievement.

TARGETjobs Undergraduate of the Year Awards is a competition open to students across the UK where they can win prizes such as placements, internships and trips abroad with internationally recognised organisations.

There are 14 different awards that cover a range of academic subjects and skills. This is the 10th year of the awards and a record 4,500 students applied.

To make it to the final of the Undergraduate of the Year Awards 2019, students had to first complete an application, including essay-style questions and online tests. Once passing that stage, students were invited either to a telephone interview or to take part in an assessment centre.
