We welcome Thorsten Beck as a CFCM Research Fellow

Thorsten Beck has a distinguished record as a researcher at the World Bank and Tilburg University. He has published in numerous journals including the Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Monetary Economics, JMCB and many World Bank publications. His research addresses the questions: What is the relationship between finance and economic development? And What policies are needed to build a sound and effective financial system? He has agreed to become a CFCM Research Fellow to work with existing staff and research fellows on these questions in the context of Asian financial development.
