Biography

I have been a Teaching Associate in Portuguese in the SPLAS section of the Department of Modern Languages and Cultures since 2023. In this role, I deliver a wide range of lectures and seminars in the undergraduate languages programme.

I am an enthusiastic and dedicated professional whose teaching philosophy focus on a communicative and student-centered approach, integrating technology and authentic materials to create immersive learning environments. Passionate about Lusophone culture and language varieties, I design learning activities that enhance students' intercultural and linguistic awareness.

Additionally, I have been appointed Deputy Director for the Teaching Centre of Innovative Pedagogies. Some of my main responsibilities are fostering communication and resource sharing among colleagues across sections, organising teaching workshops and symposia, promoting a pro-active approach to incorporating student voices into teaching delivery and assessment and publicising and create greater visibility of teaching excellence within the school.
