Wellcome Trust funds summer projects at CMMB

CMMB members have secured funding to run three summer projects this year for undergraduate students, courtesy of the Wellcome Trust. The 'Biomedical Vacation Scholarships' provide the student with a stipend to work on a research project for 6 to 8 weeks, and provide a taster of life as a postgraduate researcher. The projects funded are:

  • Thomas Cope to work with Professor John King on 'Cell-to-cell signalling in biological systems'
  • Elizabeth Ho to work with Dr Theo Kypraios on 'Modelling brain connectivity'
  • Natalie Reckless to work with Dr Jonathan Wattis on 'Telomere length dynamics'
