School Intranets

Many schools are interested in developing their own intranets. Some of these want to provide functionality that requires use of centrally managed applications or databases. (Calendaring software, announcements etc.) Compass will establish the best practices in retrieving data securely and efficiently from the correct systems. It is a timely opportunity to prevent multiple instances of incompatible developments that each consume resources and demand maintenance. We must avoid “portal wars” breaking out at Nottingham!
