As part of the Horizon A Day in the Park project, we are planning to design and prototype a collection of novel rides and services, which will be built and tested later in 2010. To inform our design process, we are running a series of workshops, the first of which will take place on Wednesday December 16th, 2009, with a title of Affective Fairground: adaptive ride experiences.
This workshop will feature a collection of short talks to fuel the imagination, and a series of active ride design exercises, to draw out participants' thoughts. All are welcome, and lunch will be provided. We do, however, have a limited capacity of 25 participants, so places must be booked. To register for a place, please contact Stefan Rennick Egglestone (sre@cs.nott.ac.uk), including your name, email address, and contact telephone number, along with any special dietary requirements, by Wednesday, December 9th. The workshop will take place between 11am and 5pm, with coffee and biscuits provided at 10:30 am. Attendees will be contacted closer to the time with further details about the location and agenda. Proceedings of the workshop will be written up after the workshop, and distributed to attendees; they will be used as inspiration for future design work.
Further details of the workshop can be found in the PDF.
