We are global experts in user experience design, virtual reality, artificial intelligence and data science. We offer our students a variety of modules and research projects in these areas and more.

We work with both local and global companies such as Google, Capital One and Microsoft on student projects and to offer work placements.

Our research groups are developing the technology of the future. They guide our teaching and keep the curriculum current and exciting. In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (2014) we ranked in the top 10 UK academic institutions for our research.

AHRC Network Grant Awarded - Dr Alan Chamberlain to be Co-Director

Description: Dr Alan Chamberlain in the Department of Computer Science, Nottingham and Dr Piotr Woycicki (Aberystwyth University) will jointly direct a new interdisciplinary network. The Network on; Theatre, AI and Ludic Technologies (NTAIL) will be funded from a prestigious Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) Network Grant.
