Photography Between Two

Seminar Day May 7th 2005

Lakeside Arts Centre, University of Nottingham (organized by Diane Bailey, Doctorate researcher in the Department of Art History)

The day will take the form of a series of conversations between photographers, artists and academics, exploring the two-way relationship between photographer and photographed.

With Vanley Burke, Paul Hill, May McWilliams, Suk Kuhn Oh, Dr.Gillian Rose, Shizuka Yokomizo, and others (biogs. attached – or if this is viewed online see link).

If you are involved with photography or researching it, and interested in photography as a relational art, or how some of the conventions of photographing people are established, and questioned, we would like you to come along.

This seminar day is organised in conjunction with the exhibition Dancing With Strangers, curated by Diane Bailey with six young photographers, Assunta Del Buono, Ed Jasion, Gemma John, Eleanor Mayne, Will McCrory and Peter Norman.
