Asymptomatic testing over the summer

The Asymptomatic Testing Service will continue to run over the summer and you can still book weekly tests if you are staying in and around Nottingham.

We encourage everyone to take a test before leaving the university to minimise any risk of transmission. This is particularly important given the rising cases of the Delta variant of Covid. The university’s Asymptomatic Test is a saliva test which can be done in minutes and results are usually available within 24 hours.

In addition to this, the government's home testing kits (lateral flow devices) are available to everyone and can be collected from any pharmacy, including Boots at Cripps Health Centre. Kits are also available from the government testing sites on University Park and Jubilee Campuses from 2.30pm each day or can be ordered online.

Testing hubs

The Lenton testing hub will close at the end of June, but other sites will operate as follows:

  • Portland Building – Welcome Zone, C Floor
    Monday - Thursday 10am – 4.30pm
  • Coates Building – Room A01
    Monday - Thursday 10am – 4.30pm
  • Jubilee Campus – West Atrium
    Monday - Thursday 10am – 4pm
  • Kings Meadow Campus – Room A18
    Monday - Thursday 10am – 12pm
  • QMC Medical School – LT4
    Monday 11am – 1pm Wednesday 1.30 – 3.30pm
  • Sutton Bonington, Main Building A32
    Monday - Wednesday 10am – 3pm
  • Royal Derby Hospital Medical School
    Tuesday 9am – 2pm
  • City Hospital, Clinical Sciences Building
    Thursday 10am-12pm

If you are symptomatic or concerned you may have Covid you should isolate, book a confirmatory NHS test and notify the university so we can offer support.
