August/September 2020 reassessment period - marks and progression information

Wednesday, 09 September 2020
If you took reassessments in the August/September re-assessment period, your marks and progression information will be published on Tuesday 22 September 2020.

Results will be available via Blue Castle using your University username and password.

This date falls after the start of the Autumn semester on Monday 21 September. If you are waiting on the outcome of these re-assessments to confirm that you are able to progress to the next stage of your programme, then you may decide to wait to return to Nottingham until on or after Tuesday 22 September.

This may be because you were unable to progress in July and had reassessments, or you requested 'optional first sits' where marks can go down as well as up which may affect your progression status. Please don't worry if you find your plans are delayed in this way, our regulations governing registration allow for this and you will be able to access module enrolment in the period between Monday 28 September and Friday 2 October.

We are sorry that we cannot provide your results sooner. Due to COVID-19, major changes were made to the format and timing of assessments which meant the period of re-assessment was extended and subsequently impacted the release of marks and progression information.

Many students who were entered for re-assessments already know that they are able to progress into the next year of study and can return to Nottingham as normal on Monday 21 September. This may be because they took the reassessment earlier in the year and have already received their results, or because they have taken 'first sits' following an extenuating circumstances decision and have been informed that their mark will not fall below the mark for the original attempt they made.

You may be invited to complete online registration before results and progression information are released. If you receive a request to re-register, please do so as soon as you can. Please note, in accordance with our regulations, re-registration does not imply satisfactory completion of your previous stage of study – this will only be confirmed on Blue Castle on Tuesday 22 September.

Further information about our exceptional regulations is available on the Quality Manual website.
